It does what it says. Adjustments from behind the gun disturb the rifle less, and it makes reacquiring the target easier. Those are the differences that stand out in use.

The HD-50 works well on the Tormento. The Picatinny version has done its job, although a wide-body would have been the better starting point for a rifle this large.

That is the distinction worth making: the experience with the bipod is positive, but we would choose the configuration differently.

The SEND IT GEN2’s indicators are seriously bright. That is the strongest part of the experience on the Tormento. The display makes a better impression than the process of fitting the unit.

Installation is clumsy, and we added to the difficulty by cutting the cables too short. That part was self-inflicted.

The TFCT-24L is exceptionally light and strong. It is also exceptionally expensive. The weight and strength make a convincing case for the tripod; the price gives the shortcomings less room.

At this level, the head matters as much to the verdict as the tripod beneath it. Good support and fine control are different requirements. The first is convincing. The second is where this combination falls short.

Small rear adjustments are where the Endgame earns its place. It is one of the best options we have used so far for those fine changes. The adjustment capability is the reason it belongs here, and the build quality backs it up.

Beautifully made, with great service behind it. Both deserve a mention alongside what the bag does.
